The concept was based on the old Ocean Shore railroad that went from San Francisco to Half Moon Bay. I wanted to honor the history of the railroad and its efforts to provide access to "great land" south of the bustling city. Ocean Shore aims to provide good food, and general store needs for the locals and tourists stopping through. Custom color palette pulled from the coastal colors with a modern twist. I chose a type that had subtle pulls on the ocean, paired with a mono typeface.
